Encrypting an iOS Device

1. Open the Settings app
2. Select [Touch ID & Passcode], [Face ID & Passscode], or [Passcode] (the name will vary depending upon which device you have)
3. Tap the [Turn Passcode On] option
4. Enter a strong passcode or password. Note: this should be a long complex numerical code or password.
