Formerly known as Google Apps for Education or GSuite, Google Workspace is Union College's environment for email. calendar and collaboration services.
Google Mail, Google Calendar and Google Drive
To login to your Union College Google account, go to https://www.gmail.com and use your FULL E-MAIL ADDRESS as your username (username@union.edu) and your Union College password.
Google Shared Drive
Google Shared Drives are shared spaces where teams can easily store, search, and access their files anywhere, from any device. Unlike files in My Drive, files in Team Drive belong to the team instead of an individual. Google has provided information on how to use Shared Drives and how to share files with Shared Drive.
Google Additional Services
A number of Google Additional Services (also referred to as "consumer apps") are available for faculty and staff and student* Union College accounts. Because these services have a different terms of service, you are required to request to opt-in to gain access.
Integrated Services
You may be given the option to access or register for the Service through the use of your user name and passwords for certain services provided by third parties (each, an “Integrated Service”), such as through the use of your Google account, or otherwise have the option to authorize an Integrated Service to provide Personal Data or other information to us. By authorizing us to connect with an Integrated Service, you authorize us to access and store your name, email address(es), and basic profile information that the Integrated Service makes available to us, and to use and disclose it in accordance with this Policy. You should check your privacy settings on each Integrated Service to understand what information that Integrated Service makes available to us, and make changes as appropriate. Please review each Integrated Service’s terms of use and privacy policies carefully before using their services and connecting to our Service.
