Adding the Wiki Feature

  1. In the upper right corner click [Turn editing on] under the settings icon.

  1. Under Weekly outline, choose the section into which you want to place the wiki and click on [Add an activity or resource], clicking on [Wiki] in the dropdown menu.

  1. Enter the name of your wiki and then fill in the Wiki description located underneath the title

  1. Under Wiki settings, enter the name of your first page. The first page is the page to which all the other pages will be linked to. Make it descriptive of the course or topic, keeping in mind that this title is permanent.
  2. At the bottom of the page click on [Save and Display] this will take you to a new page where you can add pages to your wiki.

Editing Pages

  1. Click on one of the new pages you added then click on [Create Page].

  1. Add whatever content you wish to the page you have created and then click [save] at the bottom of the page.

  1. Students can create their own pages in this way and add content to the wiki.

Adding Multimedia and Comments

  1. After clicking on the wiki on the course page you will see several tabs at the top of the page.
  2. Click on the [Comments] tab to comment on any one of the pages in the wiki. This feature allows students and teachers to comment on each others content.

  1. To add multimedia to any page go to the edit tab.
  2. The buttons to add various media are in the tool bar of the HTML editor. The pictures and files should be directly inserted into the page.

  1. For links, copying the URL of any website is sufficient. Copy and paste the website address anywhere in the editor and either the link will transfer you to the site, or for websites like Youtube the video will be embedded.
