Guide to Faculty interface on Student Self Service

Self-Service has replaced the WebAdvising interface and should be used for checking rosters, entering grades and utilizing Advising/Academic Planning.

NOTE:  Early Alerts and Commendations is NOT located in Self-Service.  There is a new platform for Early Alerts and Commendations accessed via your MyApps Dashboard or through the Class Dean's website.

Self-Service Homepage

The Self-Service homepage has three main menu options:

  1. Course Catalog - view & search courses and sections
  2. Advising - access advisee list and Student Planning
  3. Faculty - access active class rosters and submit grades

Course Catalog

Use the Course Catalog to find courses and, when a registration period is open, course sections for the term(s) that have an open registration period.

The Advising menu item will take you to the Advising Overview page.

Note: To search for a student who is not your advisee, make sure the radio button next to Student right above your list of advisees is selected and type in the name in the search box.

Utilize the Faculty menu item to access course rosters and submit grades.

Click on the course to pull up the Section Details.  Here you will have a summary of the course, section, term, location, and days/times.  It will provide you the enrollment count and the course roster is shown below the Section Details information.

The roster lists all actively enrolled students.  You have the ability to print your roster, email all of your students and download your roster to a .csv file.
