1. Navigate to the following URL: https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps.
2. Select [Learn More] on the first paragraph which talks about Less Secure Apps.
3. Follow the steps in Option 2 under Change Account Access for Less Secure Apps by:
- Log in to your Union College email account.
- Click on your username icon in the upper right corner.
- Select Google Account
- Select Less Secure Apps from Left hand side.
- Slide to turn on Allow Less Secure Apps
- Log out of the Union email.
4. Log in to your personal Gmail account (NOT the Union College email account).
5. Click on the Options gear in the upper right hand corner of the page and select [Settings].
6. Select the Accounts & imports tab
7. Next to Check mail from other accounts, select Add an email account you own.
8. Enter your complete Union College email address (userid@union.edu) and select [Next]
9. Select Import emails from my other account (POP3).
10. Enter your complete username@union.edu email address and password.
For POP server, enter: pop.gmail.com
Change Port to 995.
Put a check mark next to Use SSL
Choose label of incoming messages.
Select Archive incoming messages (skip the inbox).
Select [Add Account]
Select NO when asked if you want to send email as union.edu
Select [Finish].
Note: The messages will begin to transfer, however this may take some time to complete depending on the amount of email that you have.
