What is Formstack?

Formstack can be used for creating contact forms, registration forms, and more to gather information from online visitors; enhance feedback collection from both students and faculty through customizable surveys and feedback forms.

How do I request a FormStack account?

FormStack users have different types of accounts depending on their needs. Union College automatically creates basic “participant” FormStack accounts for all faculty & staff. The participant FormStack account can only be used to fill out forms and participate in workflows.  Additional account types are described below.

Types of accounts

Standard Account
If you plan on building forms or workflows in FormStack you will need to complete the [FormStack Account Request form].

View Submissions
If you plan to review submissions from existing forms and will not be building new forms or workflows, or making edits to existing forms, you will not need a standard account unless the submissions contain high risk data.  

For Submissions that do not contain high risk data
You will need to contact the form owner and request access to submissions. The form owner can share submissions with you using the methods described in the following articles:

For Submissions that contain high risk data
If the form is collecting high risk data, in order to protect the data, the submissions can’t be shared or exported. To get access to the submissions you will need to complete the [FormStack Account Request form]. 

Training

1. Forms Level I
    To access the training, you will need to register for an account on the FormStack Tracks website, before you can enroll. The “Forms Level I” track contains:
   1. Form Building Series: ~ 35 min
   2. Conditional Logics: ~ 5 min
   3. Save & Resume ~ 5 min
   4. Themes (Optional): ~ 25 min
   5. Quiz: ~ 10 min
       
2. Getting Started With FormStack  ~ 35 min
3. Steps to “Securing Your Form"  ~ 5 min
