Campus Copiers - Selecting New Printers (Windows & Mac)

Below are the steps on how to print to the new printer queues on both Mac and Windows computers:  

  1. Go to the applications that you would like to print to.
  2. When ready to print, follow the commands to print from your application.
  3. When selecting the printers, you may find that the "BW-Union" or "Color-Union" do not show up. An example can be shown below:
  4. Go to "See More"
     
  5. Select either the "BW-Union" or "Color-Union" queue, then press "OK", if needed for your application.
  6. Click "Print".
  7. Your print queue should now be sent to the copiers across campus. 

To set a printer as default, please follow the below steps for your system.

Windows 10

  1. Click the Windows/Start button on the taskbar and select SettingsUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Click DevicesUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Click Printers & ScannersUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Uncheck the box for "Let Windows manage my default printer" if it is checkedUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Select the printer you wish to set as default and select ManageUploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Windows 11

  1. Click the Windows/Start button on the taskbar and select Settings Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Click Bluetooth & devices then Printers & scannersUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Scroll down to the Printer preferences section and ensure "Let Windows manage my default printer" is disabled as shownUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Select the printer you wish to set as default and click "Set as default"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Mac 

  1. Click the Apple menu on the top left and select System SettingsUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Scroll down to and click Printers and scannersUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Click the drop down menu next to Default Printer and select the printer you wish to use as default
