How to Plan a Course in Self-Service

The purpose of this document is to describe how to search for courses and plan courses within Student Planning.

Go to your program requirements: [Student Planning] > [Go to My Progress] > [Requirements]

 

Degree requirements

After reviewing the individual requirements for the academic program, use the search feature within each requirement block to search for courses that fulfill this specific requirement. This is the recommended way to plan courses.

  1. Click the [Search] button. A list of courses that will fulfill this requirement will show, as follows:Search for Courses and Course Sections
  2. Review the list of courses that meet this requirement.  Use the available filters; such as Terms, Availability, and Days of Week as needed to refine your selection.
  3. Choose [Add Course to Plan] to plan the course for future registration.
  4. Choose [Add Section to Schedule] to add the specific section to the shopping cart for registration.
