Classroom Wireless Screen Sharing (Crestron AirMedia)

This guide provides instructions for connecting your device to classroom displays across campus using Crestron AirMedia, Apple Screen Mirroring, or Windows Cast.


1. Classroom Setup

  • Turn on the classroom display using the touch panel.
  • Select AirMedia as your input source.
  • Locate the IP Address and 4-digit Code on the touch panel screen.

2. Choose Your Connection Method
Option A: Windows Devices (Windows 10/11)

No software installation required.

  • Press the Windows Key + K on your keyboard to open the Cast menu.
  • Select the classroom display or room name from the list of available devices.
  • Enter the 4-digit Code displayed on the touch panel when prompted.

Option B: Apple Devices (macOS, iPadOS, iOS)

No software installation required.

  • Connect your device to the campus Wi-Fi network.
  • Open the Control Center:
  • Mac: Click the Control Center icon in the top-right menu bar.
  • iPad/iPhone: Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen.
  • Select Screen Mirroring (or Display).
  • Select the classroom display/IP address from the list.
  • Enter the 4-digit Code shown on the touch panel.

Option C: Crestron AirMedia App (Universal)

Works for all operating systems and devices (IPhone/Android)

  • Launch the Crestron AirMedia app on your device.
  • (If you do not have the app installed, open a web browser, type the IP address shown on the touch panel into the address bar, and follow the prompts to download it).
  • Enter the IP Address shown on the touch panel into the app's connection field.
  • Enter the 4-digit Code when prompted and click Start Presenting.

3. Disconnecting

When your presentation is complete, disconnect your device to free up the display for the next presenter:

  • Windows Cast: Press Windows Key + K and click Disconnect.
  • Apple Mirroring: Open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, and select Stop Mirroring.
  • AirMedia App: Open the app window and click Disconnect.
