What Is Ensemble?
Ensemble is a web-based multimedia content management system that enables efficient, coordinated, and collaborative rich media management across multiple departments and users-within an organization or across a consortia. Ensemble is flexible and integrates well with a wide range of complementary video and web technologies, including Nexus.
While Nexus has a 100MB limit, you have a much higher limit in Ensemble. This makes it perfect for uploading Zoom class recordings or hard-to-find movies.
What is Anthem?
Ensemble Anthem is a solution supporting your lecture capture, screen capture and flipped learning needs that easily integrates with your Ensemble Media Library (the platform which streams audio/video content like YouTube without the ads). Ensemble Anthem enables you to easily record screen movements with audio, and/or record video from a webcam. Once you have finished your screen capture, it is automatically uploaded into your Ensemble Media Library and can be auto-published to any playlist or to your Nexus course website.
Getting an Account
Submit a request for an Ensemble account by doing one of the following:
Submit a Service Ticket
- Go to union.edu/ITS
- In the right sidebar, click on the link "Need Help? Submit a Ticket". This will take you to the ITS Service page.
- In the center of the page, click on the red [Submit a Ticket] button.
- Confirm your email address, and then just enter that you'd like an Ensemble account, and click on the red [Request] button.
OR
Send an email
That's it. Just send at email to helpdesk@union.edu, ask for an Ensemble account, and a ticket will be automatically submitted for you.
NOTE: When you request an Ensemble account, we automatically give you an access to Anthem.
Logging In to Ensemble
- Go to MyApps and login with your Union College Credentials.
- Chose "Ensemble Video" from the list.
Add a Video to Your Library
- Click on the green [ +Add ] button.
- Enter a Title for your video in the text box (required).
- If wanted, enter information in the Enter Description area and the Enter Credits area, and ten click on the green [Continue] button in the lower right corner.
- Either click and drag your video into the file area, OR click on the gray [Select file to upload] cloud icon and navigate to your video on your computer.
- Click on the green [Continue] button in the lower right.
- Select a playlist where you'd like your video to reside by checking the box.
- In the lower right corner, click on the [Publish] button.
