Encrypting a Powerpoint 2016 Presentation

How to Encrypt a PowerPoint 2016 Presentation.

Body

  1. Click on the [File] tab to bring up the Menu Pane.

  2. Click on [Info] to bring up the Info Pane, and then click [Protect Presentation] button.

  3. From the drop down menu, click on [Encrypt with Password] option.

  4. In the Encrypt Document dialogue box enter your preferred password and click the [OK] button. Confirm your password by entering it into the following dialogue box, and click [OK].

  5. In the Info Pane, you'll now see a yellow box with the message that a password is required to open this presentation. Click the left-arrow above the Info option to go back to your presentation.
