Registering with a Network Account on a PC

Step 1

Click on the [Wireless Network Connection] icon located on the menu bar.

Step 2

Please ensure WiFi is turned ON. A list of the wireless networks within proximity will be presented. Select [union] to connect. Next, you will be prompted to enter the network secuirty key. Type UNION1795.

Step 3

Open your preferred web browser (ex. Safari, Firefox, Chrome) and go to https://www.union.edu/. An Isolation page will briefly be displayed, following with an Acceptable Use Policy.

*Note*: If you DO NOT see the Isolation page, your browser may be cached. Attempting to use a different web browser OR clearing your web browser cache should resolve this issue.

Step 4

Please read the Acceptable Use Policy followed by clicking on the [AGREE] or [DISAGREE] button.

*Note*: Selecting DISAGREE will prevent your device from gaining internet access. If you do not agree with the Acceptable Use Policy, please contact the Help Desk through the ITS Service Catalog or call 518.388.6400 with any questions or concerns.

 

Step 5

On the Welcome page, select [Users who have a Network account]

Step 6

Enter your [User Name] and [Password] in the fields provided. Once that's complete, proceed by clicking the [Download] button. The FortiNAC Dissolvable Agent will commence downloading.

Step 7

Select the FortiNAC Dissolvable Agent from your list of recent downloads.

After running the agent, click Register to begin the installation. During this process, your computer will be scanned to ensure it meets the minimum requirements to gain Internet access.

                              

Step 8

If your computer has successfully met the requirements, you should now be able to browse the web.
