Registering as a GUEST on a Mac

Step 1

Click on the [Wireless Network Connection] icon located on the menu bar.

Step 2

Please ensure AirPort/WiFi is turned ON. If not, click [Turn AirPort/WiFi On] to enable. A list of the wireless networks within proximity will be presented. Select [union] to connect. Next, you will be prompted to enter a WPA2 password. Type UNION1795.

Step 3

Open your preferred web browser (ex. Safari, Firefox, Chrome) and go to https://www.union.edu/. An Isolation page will briefly be displayed, following with an Acceptable Use Policy.

*Note*: If you DO NOT see the Isolation page, your browser may be cached. Attempting to use a different web browser OR clearing your web browser cache should resolve this issue.

Step 4

Please read the Acceptable Use Policy followed by clicking on the [AGREE] or [DISAGREE] button.

*Note*: Selecting DISAGREE will prevent your device from gaining internet access. If you do not agree with the Acceptable Use Policy, please contact the Help Desk at 518.388.6400 or helpdesk@union.edu for any questions or concerns.

Step 5

On the Welcome page, select [Guests without an account]

Step 6

Enter your [First] and [Last name] in the fields provided. Your computer will then automatically go through the necessary steps to ensure it meets the requirements for internet access.

Step 7

If your computer has successfully met the requirements, you should now be able to browse the web.
