ITS Updates Fall 2020

What's New?

ITS Operations this Fall Term

ITS will continue to provide as much support as possible remotely.  While we will have some staff on site to support certain operations, we will NOT be taking walk-in's at ITS.

Our business hours are 8:30 am - 4:54 pm. Electronic Classroom support will be available during scheduled classes.

The quickest way to get help is to submit a ticket either by visiting or emailing or calling 518-388-6400.  Please include a phone number we can reach you at along with a description of the problem you are having.

Requests to purchase equipment should also be sent to

As we have been doing for the last several months, we will work with you to resolve any issues remotely.  If necessary, we will make an appointment with you to come to campus to resolve the issue.

Also, we have changed the location for pick up/drop off of equipment back to Peschel Computing Center.  You will need to make an appointment to pick up/drop off equipment by calling Tom Mancini at 518-388-6669.

Classrooms that are being utilized for face-to-face instruction are now equipped with additional equipment at the podium to facilitate hybrid instruction, including a Logitech C920 web cam with noise cancelling microphone. Watch these short videos to get a brief tour of the enhancements.

If you need urgent electronic classroom support, you should still call xt. 7007 (or 518-388-7007). ITS Learning Environments (LE) staff will provide best effort, remote support over the phone to resolve the issue. If LE staff is unable to resolve the issue over the phone/remotely, you will need to switch to a “plan B” and LE staff will investigate the issue at a time when the class is over and the room is vacant.

If you don’t know the password to unlock the Crestron panel at the podium and/or need electronic classroom training, please contact ITS Learning Environments at

In addition, this term we truly need your help in order to mitigate technology issues. If you notice something is not working well (or at all) and it is not an urgent fix, please give us a call at xt 6438 (or 518-388-6438) or email For urgent help, call xt. 7007. If we don’t know there is an issue, we can’t fix it.

Re-register your device(s)

Most of us have been away from campus long enough for our device registrations for the "union" wireless network to have expired.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The "union" wireless network requires a password.  That password is UNION1795 (case sensitive).

You will need to re-register your device(s) once you return to campus.  Instructions are available on our website.
