How to End the Cisco Jabber App Background Process

Summary

When you do not want to receive/make calls using Jabber, you should exit the app completely.

Body

iPhone with a home button(iPhone 5-8): Double tap the home button to bring up all apps running in the background, swipe up on the Cisco Jabber app window to close.

iPhone with no home button (iPhone X-14): Swipe up from the bottom of your screen, keeping your finger still on the screen(halfway up screen). Apps running the background will appear, swipe up on the Cisco Jabber app window to close.

Android (most models): Open the Settings app.  Tap Apps. (on some Samsung phones, tap the General tab at the top of the Settings app screen, and then choose the Application Manager). Tap the Running tab to view apps running in the background.  Tap the Cisco Jabber app and tap Stop or Force Stop.

Softphone on PC: Click the up-arrow in the lower right-hand corner of your screen to bring up your system tray of all applications running in the background. Right-click on the Jabber icon

and click Exit Cisco Jabber.

Softphone on Mac: Click Jabber on the top menu bar and then click Quit Jabber to exit completely.
